Well I am back from my camping trip now, and back to my computer. I wrote a post that suggested taking a week off of the computer. I hope some of your took me up on the challenge. It is easier said than done, I realize. Someone left a great comment about the post. It is definitely worth sharing.
“Oh, I need this one! I am always trying to get something ‘done’. I can’t read right now because I’m doing the dishes, or I can’t play a game right now because I’m making lunch… the list goes on and on. And I am constantly kicking myself at the end of the day because I realize this and try to do better, but get so caught up in ’stuff’ that I forget what is really important. They won’t be little for long, and they won’t always want to play or read with Mom. I need to take all the opportunities I can. Thanks, Nicholeen for this website and all the help you give to parents who are trying to figure it out!”
Keeping all the priorities straight is probably one of the biggest challenges for mothers in this RUSH EVERYWHERE day and age. My rule of thumb is the best thing I can be doing at any given time is the thing that I will want to remember doing for the rest of my life. Those things are usually things like reading books with my children.
