Blaming

Talk to me more about blaming. Recently, when I asked about lying, you mentioned blaming and if it was something that happened a lot in the home. I have been paying attention and yes, blaming does happen. I referred to it as tattling in the past, but I have noticed there is a difference. I am trying to notice tattling vs. reporting vs. blaming now. So, how do you approach blaming? My kids do often blame each other when fighting or bickering occurs and do not accept responsibility for their own part what transpired that led to the escalation into a fight or disagreement. In many instances I was missing it because I lumped it in with tattling. Also, can you explain how this contributes to lying further now that I am seeing it and identifying it more. Thank you so much! Also, we have noticed overall that things are better in our home with behavior as the kids are all becoming more familiar with the order of consequences which is leading to more consistent parenting. We are definitely a far cry from being calm and giving simple instructions from a place of calm all the time, but we are progressing. Little by little, we are progressing.
