Chores

I returned home this evening and the house is a mess. Laundry is not switched, toys strewn on the floor, dishes where anyone was drinking and eating, fridge ingredients all on the counter and the teenage babysitter in bed. I’m not blaming my son but looking at how I can raise them to be more responsible. Does every job need to be divided amongst the children? Or do I make it a standing rule that the babysitter tidies up before bed? He never complains when asked to tidy up but still does not take initiative to see the mess and tell the children to tidy up after themselves or even tidy up after himself when I’m not around. Any advice is appreciated.
