“Master Your Mother Tongue”: Building Character1 min read

In my presentation on Building Children with Character (which is in the 6 CD Audio Seminar), I talk about teaching our children refinement so they can become leaders in this world; leaders with character.

My father used to always say, “Master your mother tongue and you will make a mark upon the world that will be noticed.” This advice changed my life. I am still not perfectly articulate, but it is always on my mind.

My friend shared this great video with me about our “Mother Tongues.” I think it describes today’s situations of teen-age and adult ineloquence quite well. Knowing and understanding vocabulary is the key to all learning and to changing our hearts. Knowledge is power.
