power struggles

Trying this morning to submit my question.

How can I not engage in power struggles with my children? I am terrible about using too many words and trying to explain to them my choices, etc. I explain "why" too much for too long. My youth tell me how I am not following TSG, what decisions they don't like, what they will and won't do, and I just cannot seem to shut down all the debates. They question sooo much!!!! It is in these debates that power struggles form and then I get angry and frustrated and then I get mentally, physically, and spiritually exhausted. I have watched your Expectation Trap, etc. Can you give me a step I can do today to not engage? Thank you.
