Autistic teen and looking into the eyes

My 15-year-old daughter is on the spectrum and has a bunch of ODD traits. She strongly opposes introducing TSG, despite lacking much knowledge about it. She formed her opinion after we introduced the first skill: following instructions. She refuses to make eye contact, citing her autism. I understand she's trying to maintain the status quo and resist change. To be honest as parents, we struggle to insist on making eye contact with her. She argues that all experts and professionals would not require an autistic child to make eye contact, and we lack arguments against that perspective as this is exactly what I have been led to believe as well. What are your thoughts on that?
