How to stay calm in split second situations, and avoid power struggles. I gave a list of four things you can do to quickly keep yourself calm.

How to help your toddlers become inspired to use self-government principles.

Some tips for parents just starting their self-government journey.

What the appropriate tone sounds like when you are correcting.

How to recognize manipulating behavior and how to stop it.

In this call we discussed force and power struggles, how to stop nagging, and when it's the proper time to use the Rule of Three.

Call 9-9-11

In this call we talked about:

  • Seven steps to helping your reluctant child to take ownership of family vision and relationships
  • How much time to give to a child to calm down, when upset
  • How to help small children who don't want to eat their food
  • How to know when a child is out of control
  • How to calm an out of control three year old
  • When showing emotion is okay and good
  • How to help children follow instructions from other adults too and what to do if they don't

In this call we talked about 11 things to teach your children to help them make good friends and keep them, and how to resolve disagreements with friends.

In this call we talked about teens who are defiant and get violent. We talked about ODD behaviors and sensory issues.

We talked about controlling behaviors and how to be calm when someone else is controlling.

We talked about restraining and when it is appropriate and how to do it calmly.

We also discussed how to stop nagging, how to encourage youth to check back and what to do to help with family consistency.

There was also a question about what to do if the child won't look at you or if he rolls eyes.
