Work interfering with school

Hello, our teen son has an evening job that normally ends between 10-11 pm. He’s had it for about a year and it’s never been a problem. Last night he had a difficult shift and he even got injured while on the job. This morning he didn’t wake up on time and missed the bus. He asked if I could take him to school and I’m wondering what I should do.
Should I let him experience a natural consequence, not take him to school, and have him figure it out with his teachers tomorrow? Or should I take him this time but preteach that if it happens again I won’t be taking him?
How would you handle this?
