TSG Beginners!

We flew back home Sunday from the three day training in Utah. It was absolutely wonderful!! Sunday evening, we got the plan below together from the Parenting, Mastery Workbook and had a meeting with each one of our children individually which took about 30 minutes each time including role-play. With two teenagers and a 12-year-old, the amount of questions and instructions are very large! Do we need to do the instruction (page 26) and question (pages 28-29) with pre-teach every time or be selective with it? We are giving the kids a grace period until November 7 for teaching, but we don’t want to burn them out between now and them. We’re not sure how to handle text messages either.

1. Pages 2 and 3…. Explained the popular parenting methods regarding what we each did wrong and the correct method.
2. Page 18…. reviewed the four basic skills.
3. Role play
a. Page 26….. Instruction
b. Pages 28 to 29….. question
c. Page 40…. disagree appropriately.
d. Page 56….. intensive teaching

Saturday, we are going to talk as a family about the family and mentor meetings so we will start those on Sunday. Family vision, mission, and standard will also be discussed lightly Saturday dependent upon time because we want to keep things short as not to overwhelm or stress.
