Story book quilt

Hello 🙂 I'm going to try and do a book quilt with the children as I've heard you talk about it before but I'm having trouble visualizing it as I can't see an example of one. To me it seems it would turn out not to look like a quilt but a piece of paper with 4 squares of info in each square, a quilt seems to have more squares or be more elaborate. So just checking to make sure we're going to do it right. What ages should be doing this project, I have 16, 13, 10, and 7. I want to help build up confidence into writing opinion papers for my older children but they're not used to writing papers as they don't enjoy it and avoid it. Thank you so much.
