Thank you so much for answering my questions over the past few weeks! It has been so incredibly helpful. We've been doing TSG for about 10 years now, but I wasn't as consistent with corrections (or any of the 5 teaching styles) and had high tolerances, so I've been doing a TSG re-education for myself and my kids over the past few months, and so many problems have ironed themselves out! Even so, there have been several tricky areas with my 17 y/o daughter that I have been trying to figure out how to handle, and so I very much appreciate your mentoring.
I have questions now about parent counseling sessions. I still am not sure what that is supposed to look like or when to do it, and how that is different from a regular mentor session. I was looking through some past support call questions and in one of them you said that you had previously shared a structure or strategy for conducting a parent counseling session, but as yet I have not been able to find where you talked about that. I have the Deep Dive course (not the newer TSG Parenting course) and the first edition of the Parenting A House United book, and I'm struggling to find very much on parent counseling sessions there either. So, could you help me understand when to do parent counseling sessions, as well as your strategy for how to do them?
Thank you so much for your help.
