Hi Nicholeen,
I asked you a question a couple weeks back about mentoring sessions. You mentioned that they shouldn’t feel heavy. My son feels very protective and defensive when I talk with him about his goals. He even said he wanted me to stop asking him questions. He feels like I am interrogating him even though I try to ask in an open, non judgemental way. I want to be a part of his life in this way, but he does not want me to. Any suggestions on how to continue doing mentoring sessions while helping to make a shift in how he feels about them?
