The rule of three

Hello, my daughter is going to turn 4 in August and we just started doing the rule of three. We are having a ton of S.O.D.A.S. and she can't think of anything to say. So I end up coming up with everything and writing it down. But she does pick the final solution at the end. Am I supposed to modify the S.O.D.A.S to one so it doesn't get out of hand? I'm not sure how should I be doing it. I really appreciate your help.
