I am struggling with a very snappy and manipulative thirteen year old . Recently one of my friend's told me that she saw my daughter and a boy hugging and getting close in a dark spot on their lane. We were shocked and embarrassed. We did not argue much.However my daughter kept saying they just hugged. I am unable to decide whom to trust. Obviously when this happened my daughter had meltdown for 2 hours and it left us exhausted. I think she is not very honest. She looks forward to meeting her friend and hang out with him and gives us no choice like connecting to her friend's parent. She controls us completely ny threatening to walk out or self harm. I took her to a psychiatrist earlier to rule out any mental health conditions. The Dr said there is no mental health condition. But right now we feel powerless. She is too stubborn and possibly dishonest.
