Practical Self-Government For Families
What It Looks Like
Just because your family is unique doesn’t mean you can’t use and teach the skills and principles of self-government.
For years I took in youth who were dealing with trauma, lack of skill development, and neuro-diversities. And, the skills and principles of self-government that I teach and write about are what I used to help them to learn self-mastery, self-regulation, and personal empowerment.
But, what did it really look like during that teaching? Where they perfectly open to it? Did we ever have to stop for anxiety or overwhelmed moments? They were real people after all.
This new video training, Practical Self-Government for Families – What it Looks Like, was created so that parents like you could better see what it really looks and feels like when normal parents and unique, even neuro-diverse kids learn self-government.
This practical view into the regular life of the Stephens family will show you the following:
- How to teach children about calmness
- How to teach children how their brain works
- How to teach the skills and principles of self-government
- How to teach neuro-diverse, high-anxiety children self-government
- What the learning curve looks like for neuro-diverse children
- How to over-come bad parenting habits
- How to deal with melt-downs and outbursts
- How to teach yourself (the parent) self-government
- And, how to unite the family through self-government principles.
I so appreciate the Stephens family being willing to open their home and their hearts for this filming so that the world could learn right along with them. For many years people have been asking what learning self-government looks like when children process differently. This practical tool will finally answer those questions.
I’m so excited for your family to see what it really looks like when I do an in-home visit for a family and use the steps and skills that I used with the Stephens family in your own home too.
Sure, I have two other in-home visits that we have filmed, but this one is incredibly authentic, behaviorally diverse, and easier to copy at your house. I think that this family experience will be something you can even watch with your children as you learn self-government together right along with the Stephen’s family.
