Freedom Without Consequences

Is your teenaged child not getting everything done that they need to in the day? Are they slacking off on their duties and assignments? I had a mother present me with a similar situation, concerned about her 16-year-old son and his lack of productivity. She couldn’t quite determine whatwas going on and wanted some advice.

  • Just attended Parenting Mastery Retreat and realising that our tolerances are too high. Also, having a hard time keeping track of every consequence earned. Thoughts?

  • My husband thinks I’m too quick to correct behaviors and he doesn’t like the 24-hrs loss of privileges “punishment.”

  • Instituting a “no sleep overs” policy. Age 16 son is furious about it.

  • What happens to 18-year-olds when they go to jail and misbehave.
