How do you stay calm when you need to step away, but physically can’t (or you can still hear all the noise even when you do…or they follow you and whine at the door)? When twin babies are crying, my toddler is whining, and 2 older kids are bickering…I struggle. I can feel the anger rising, and realize I need to step away, but even if I go in another room, I can still hear all the screaming and can’t find a successful way to get calm. I end up yelling, and that shocks everyone into quiet, but I hate the atmosphere I’ve created in our home. I’m so sick of failing and don’t want to be “angry” at babies and a toddler, but I don’t know how to stop. Thank you!
