Obsessive confessing

My 6 year old daughter has recently started confessing to me obsessively. Every time she does something she’s not supposed to she will come and tell me. She has a habit of touching her private part and we’ve been working to help her stop that habit. I help her when she’s around me but if she ever does it when she’s not with me, she tells me. I’m trying to understand her and the balance between giving her a no answer/chore and calming the obsessive nature with which she reports. She does this with several things that she’s received no answers about.
