Hi Nicholeen, back in February you gave me awesome advice on transitioning my children from hate of learning to love of learning, and so far I've read to them "The Hiding Place" and now we're almost done with "Black Beauty" then will read "The Bronze Bow". The days haven't gone exactly to plan with doing ANY crafts or games. We get the morning meeting done with many corrections, it's difficult. Then it's almost lunch because we can't get the morning meeting started because of so many corrections during breakfast, constantly going in and out of the rule of 3. So we have lunch I read they have snacks then they're off to running wild, except the 16 year old, she's negative Nancy all day. They all enjoy my reading though. In the afternoons and evenings I'll read some more. I printed off the black beauty lap book yesterday from HITW and we did 2 little sections in it because of all the negativity and I was trying to keep it light and fun. The rest of the day they pretty much run wild. I recently have lyme disease, lupus, and mold for a few months, it's hard to breath and think and I'm in a lot of pain. I'm in bed alot. I've homeschooled them most of their lives I put them in PS for 1 or 2 years but they developed a hate of learning bc I had to force them to do things in HomeS and was very angry yelling when they didn't obey. Starting TSG last spring has helped huge this year but they still resist my teaching them. The school year is over and they have state required testing that I have to have them do even though they're super behind and my 16 year old said she'll never go to college at this point. Do the morning meetings continue in summer? I don't look forward to them anymore they've become monotonous, I want to make them fun and engaging but I don't know how. With all my lack of energy and they just don't want to do anything but run wild and they feel trapped with our tiny little yard in a neighborhood by a busy street they're used to the country, we've been here 7 years they haven't made any friends except disobedient vaping children I won't let them play with but my children don't respect each other in the first place. And Feldtrip Friday they all still really want entertainment places. I know we're making small gains though we're just not unified still, I've been thinking about purchasing Deep Dive. Thank you!
