My kids seem to have trouble calming down. Maybe it's because they don't "want to". But what strategies do you use in the Rule of three for your calming instructions? You talk about closing eyes and taking deep breaths. My kids do that sometimes but sometimes they feel like it's juvenile (even though I tell them that's literally what I do!)
Either way, what other calming instructions have you found helpful for children? My kids are 5 and 7.
