Ching Phillips (Chiang)

Hi! I’m Ching Phillips and I’ve been implementing teaching self government for about 4 years in my family since July 2020. I have an only son who had meningitis and a brain surgery at 2.5 months old which resulted in a lot of speech and occupational therapy till he was 5. There was a short period where he was diagnosed as being on the spectrum as a high functioning autistic child at 4 years old but then later he proved to be just hyper active with some ADHD tendencies. It took some time for my husband to come on board with TSG and now he’s proficient with implementing the system and skills in our family. I used to teach high schoolers for about 15 years and we regularly host long term exchange students who have now become like family. TSG has impacted the lives of our exchange students while drastically transforming our own little family in the way we communicate with each other. We’re now a homeschooling family since 2019 and are seeing the wonderful benefits of homeschooling coupled with TSG in our son. We love the Lord Jesus, and strive to be a blessing to the people around us. TSG has been part of that blessing and our family has gotten closer as a result of Christ and clear, practical steps on how to lead and disciple our child to be a true leader among his peers.
